Laura Contreras-Rowe
Laura Contreras-Rowe was born in Dallas, Texas and raised in Laredo, Texas. She received a BS in Broadcast Design and Telecommunications with a minor in Art History from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa Oklahoma in 1991.
As Founder and CEO of Why Be Average? Laura’s desire is to empower a wide range of people; not only businessmen and women, but also elementary school, middle school, high school and young adults, in addition to Hispanic and minority women. Her role as a consultant is uniquely diverse because she has the ability to speak to all types of groups, including but not limited to; real estate agents, business people, young and upcoming leaders, as well as minorities. Her opportunity to function as motivational speaker, consultant and trainer is an opportunity that has been recently presented, however, is something that goes down to the core of Laura’s heart and beliefs. She has already been presented with many opportunities to speak to her peers in the real estate business and conduct training seminars to motivate and empower her fellow realtors to rise to a new level in their careers. Her speaking and consulting has taken her to many places; both nationally and internationally. She has been given the opportunity to conduct training seminars with real estate agents with Keller Williams Realty in Tulsa, Oklahoma, as well as Virginia Beach, Virginia. Her consulting for real estate has taken her as far as Argentina to speak at the Remax Argentina National Convention.
Laura also strongly believes there is a huge gap in today’s society for our minority youth of America. It is this belief that has given Laura the opportunity to speak to many children and young leaders in high school and college. Currently Laura is working on two book projects. Both are projects to inspire, motivate, empower and bring a message of HOPE to those who are hopeless. For more information on Laura’s books, please refer to the Products portion of the website.
Laura is now an Award Winning Author.
